Prof. Uwem Ituen is a dedicated lecturer and researcher with expertise in Geography and Natural Resources Management. His commitment to sustainable environmental practices and his passion for educating the next generation has made him a valuable asset to the Department of Geography and Natural Resources Management, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Uyo, Uyo and the entire academic community.
He holds membership in some profesional bodies such as International Association of Landscape Ecological (IALE), United Kingdom Region, Nigerian Cartographic Association (NCA) etc.
Indepth research in GIS and Utility Planning, Development and Management, Rural Development, Rural Land Use Planning and Land Use Change has resulted in several publications in Journal Articles, Book Chapters and Conferences paper presentation. Majority are open access on this knowledgebase and in his linkages.
